Enrollment - Urban Beauty Barber Institute

Enrollment Requirements

Prior to starting class, enrollees must meet the applicable program requirements, and provide the following:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED), and Official transcript stating the date of Graduation, any college or technical courses completed (Transfer Students)
  • Proof of Age (Birth Certificate, Driver’s License, or official State ID)
  • Proof of Citizenship or immigration status (Social Security Card, I-94, Green card, etc.)
  • Registration Fee ($100)

Daytime Full-Time

Tuesday- Friday 9:30 am – 4:30 pm

Two Saturdays Monthly 9:30 am – 3 pm


Daytime Part-Time

Tuesday – Friday 9:30 am – 1:30 pm

Two Saturdays Monthly 9:30 am – 3 pm


Evening Schedule

Tuesday – Friday 5:30 pm 9:30 pm

Two Saturdays Monthly 9:30 am – 3 pm


Hybrid Schedule A

Tuesday & Thursday 9:30- 7:30 pm

Two Saturdays Monthly 9:30 am – 3 pm


Hybrid Schedule B

Tuesday & Thursday 1:30- 9:30 pm

Two Saturdays Monthly 9:30 am – 3 pm

$4.75 per hour

Textbooks and Mannequin Fee:


All students attending the Urban Beauty/Barber Institute are eligible to earn the HAZEL Scholarship based on their performance in school. Eligibility requirements will be explained in your admissions financial visit. The Hazel Scholarship can reduce your tuition cost up to 35%.  


A digital textbook is included in your technology fees.

Clinical Practical Sessions Kit

All enrollees will receive in admissions a list of Clinical Sessions tools and supplies that are required prior to the end of the first week of class. A designated school official will assess and approve new enrollee kit.
