Education Requirements to Enroll
To enroll into an apprenticeship program in Cosmetology, Aesthetics or Nails, you must be at least 16 years old and have completed the 10th grade in high school. You must submit a high school diploma or high school transcript documenting the completion of 10th grade and eight school credits.
To begin an apprenticeship program in Master Barber, you must have a high school diploma.

- Proof of citizenship or immigration status (Social Security card, I-94, green card, etc.)

All students attending the Urban Beauty/Barber Institute are eligible to earn the HAZEL Scholarship based on their performance in school. Eligibility requirements will be explained in your admissions financial visit. The Hazel Scholarship can reduce your tuition cost up to 35%.

Clinical Practical Sessions Kit
All enrollees will receive in admissions a list of Clinical Sessions tools and supplies that are required prior to the end of the first week of class. A designated school official will assess and approve new enrollee kit.
